Honcho Review: Pricing, Pros, Cons & Alternatives
Honcho is a legitimate, active camera-to-cloud photo delivery platform for professional photographers. It is strongest when a photographer wants to upload photos live, let attendees find themselves with face recognition or QR-code galleries, sell digital downloads, run a slideshow, and connect printing. That makes it much more specialist than a typical wedding guest photo-sharing app, so this review focuses on pricing, plan limits, and where it fits.

Honcho reviews
Excerpts are quoted word for word from the linked source.
“Honcho has been the most exciting addition to our offering this year. Being able to make photos available instantly has been a huge hit with our clients. The built-in stats clearly show the uptake—and at awards events, it’s massive. People get their photos straight away, and they love it.”
“After years of searching, I finally found the perfect way to share my marathon photos. I’m especially loving the notifications feature that lets participants know when new photos of them are found with face recognition.”
“Using Honcho has been a game-changer for us. It allowed us to introduce face recognition into our workflow and has been especially valuable during large sporting events, where it's nearly impossible for participants to browse through hundreds of photos. With Honcho, they can quickly find their pictures with a simple selfie.”

Frequently asked questions
How much does Honcho cost?
Honcho publishes a 7-day free trial, then Indie at $20 USD/mo, Pro at $30 USD/mo and Studio at $50 USD/mo billed monthly, or $16, $24 and $40 USD/mo billed annually (pricing page, 2026-10-06).
Does Honcho have a free tier?
Honcho has a 7-day free trial with 3 albums, 50 photos per album, 20 face searches per album, a 15% online-store commission, photo editor, wireless printing, live slideshow, custom profile, and a gallery response form.
Is Honcho a wedding guest photo app?
Not primarily. Honcho is built around professional photographer camera-to-cloud workflows: photographers upload while shooting, then attendees find or buy photos through face recognition or QR-code galleries. Couples who want guests to upload their own wedding photos may find it heavier than necessary.
Does Honcho support QR codes?
Yes, Honcho describes QR-code sharing for event galleries. The sourced copy supports QR access/sharing for photographer-delivered galleries, not a simple guest-upload QR album in the same style as Our Event Album.
Does Honcho support video uploads or a video guestbook?
Honcho's site and App Store listing describe photo delivery and do not mention video uploads or a video guestbook.
What is the best Honcho alternative for weddings?
For weddings where the goal is guest participation, Our Event Album is simpler: guests scan a QR code, upload photos and videos from the browser, and hosts get a live slideshow and full-resolution downloads for a one-time event price.
