What is the difference between layout and grouping?

Layout is how photos are arranged, in Design. Grouping is whether they are shown under each guest's name, in Album settings.

Which layout suits guest photos best?

Masonry usually, because guest photos are a mix of portrait and landscape and it keeps their real proportions.

Can I change it after the event?

Yes, at any time. Nothing about the photos changes.

Yes. Settings has a Design panel with four gallery layouts: Grid, Masonry, Featured, and Mosaic. Separately, Album settings controls gallery grouping, which either shows everything newest-first or groups photos under each guest's name. They are different controls and easy to confuse.

Open Settings and choose Design
Gallery Layout is at the top of the panel.
Design holds the gallery layout, title colour and font, accent colour, and the sparkles toggle.
