Can someone else help me manage my album?

    Open Settings and choose Administration

    This panel is only about people, not privacy. Guest permissions live in Album settings.

    Administration is where you invite a co-host by email. They get admin access to this album only.

A co-host is the answer to a specific problem: on the day itself you will not be looking at your phone, and you should not be. Somebody else needs to be able to remove the photo nobody wants in the album, tell a guest why their upload will not go through, or restart the photo wall when the venue reboots the TV.

What to brief them on

Give your co-host three things and they can handle almost anything on the day:

  • The album link, so they can open it on their own phone without asking you.
  • What you want removed. People are reluctant to delete anything belonging to someone else unless they have been told it is fine. "Anything blurry or unflattering, use your judgement" is enough.
  • Whether uploads should stay open. Most people leave them on for a week afterwards, which is when the best camera-roll photos arrive.

What they cannot do

A co-host cannot delete the album, change the order, or reach any other album on your account. If you want someone to help but not to have that much control, the lighter option is simply sending them the guest link. They can still view and upload, they just cannot moderate.

Common follow-up questions

What can a co-host actually do?
Everything the owner can within that album: remove unwanted photos, approve uploads, change what guests can see, run the photo wall, and download the whole album.
Does a co-host get access to my other albums?
No. Access is per album. Someone invited to your wedding album cannot see anything else on your account.
How many co-hosts can I have?
Up to ten people per album. Most people need one or two: someone who is not in the wedding party, and who will actually have their phone on them.
Can I remove a co-host later?
Yes. Their access is managed from the same Administration panel, so you can revoke it once the event is over.
Do they need to pay or buy anything?
No. A co-host joins your existing album. They only set a password so their access is theirs alone.
Who should I pick?
Someone who is not getting married and not giving a speech. A sibling, a bridesmaid who likes being organised, or the friend who always ends up holding everyone's bags.
