It worked yesterday and not today. Why?

Almost always the environment rather than the code. Check whether lighting changed, a candle was moved, or the sign is now behind glass.

Can guests scan from someone else's phone screen?

Yes. If a sign is missing, one guest can show the code on their screen for another to scan.

Why will my QR code not scan?

Q: Why will my QR code not scan?

Nearly always one of four things: the phone is using a social app camera instead of the normal one, the code is too small for the distance, glare from a laminated or glossy sign, or the room is too dim for the camera to focus. Try the ordinary camera app first, move closer, and send the album link as a backup.

Use the phone's normal camera app
Camera apps inside Instagram or Snapchat often will not read a plain QR code.

Move closer, and get the whole code in frame
A code roughly 3 cm across needs the phone about 30 cm away.

Check for glare and low light
Glossy or laminated signs reflect venue lighting straight into the lens.
Each download button has its own paper size menu, so the PDF prints correctly at home.

Send the album link instead
The link opens exactly the same album, so nobody has to wait for the sign to be fixed.
